Global Gateway Hydropower Dialogue

Hydropower is the largest and oldest source of renewable energy and remains one of the most reliable and cost-effective forms of electricity generation. In many partner countries, expanding hydropower capacity supports economic growth and decarbonization. The EU is globally recognized for its expertise in hydropower technologies and, through the Global Gateway initiative, supports projects across Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia-Pacific.

The Global Gateway Hydropower Dialogue will bring together EU stakeholders to discuss financing, procurement, and opportunities to scale up sustainable hydropower projects in partner countries.
