EU-Central Asia Cooperation on Water-Environment-Climate Change (WECOOP)
The EU–Central Asia Platform on Environment and Water Cooperation was established in 2009, with Italy as lead country, as the reference framework for the cooperation between EU and Central Asian countries in the field of environment, water and climate change. The EU renewed the project “European Union – Central Asia Water, Environment and Climate Change Cooperation (WECOOP)” in October 2019 to run until April 2023. Hydro4U was connected via several events.
FIThydro
FIThydro (Fishfriendly Innovative Technologies for Hydropower) is a project funded under the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (GA No. 727830) coordinated by the Technical University of Munich. It addresses the decision support in commissioning and operating hydropower plants (HPP) by use of existing and innovative technologies. It concentrates on mitigation measures and strategies to develop cost-efficient environmental solutions and on strategies to avoid individual fish damage and enhancing population developments. Therefore, HPPs all over Europe are involved as test sites.
HyPeak
HyPeak (Hydropeaking Research Network) is an expert network that seeks to enhance scientific exchange and support stakeholders, policy makers and practitioners in the field of hydropeaking.
LIFE NEXUS
LIFE NEXUS is a project funded under the LIFE Programme (Ref. LIFE17 ENV/ES/000252) coordinated by CARTIF Technology Centre. It aims at boosting the sustainability of the urban water cycle by means of the energy harvest using micro-hydropower technology.
ETIP HYDROPOWER
ETIP HYDROPOWER brings together representatives from industry, academia, research centers, civil society, and associations to monitor and track the research activities for the hydropower sector and underline the importance of hydropower in the energy transition.
